The "English" film was actually a Chinese one, The Farewell. Some dialogue was in English, but otherwise there were Spanish subtitles at the top of the screen and English ones at the bottom. Even without these it was not a very aesthetically pleasing film -- very dingy and claustrophobic (on purpose, evidently). There was nothing especially wrong with it, but apart from the aesthetic I didn't like the music and found the way it addressed cultural differences pretty undemanding. I didn't dislike it though -- it had its funny and poignant moments and the acting was good. Intercambio as riotous as ever, but we left earlyish.
