Creek Life

(27/12/19)

I seem to be playing catch up here all the time!

So, the big day finally arrived. As it is a normal working day, not everyone gets a day off, and none of the two churches we are associated with had a Christmas day service. The church we went to last night did, but we'd already planned the day; besides which, it feels really weird going for a service in an exhibition hall.

Lunch was at 12:30 - the full works except it was a large chicken, rather than turkey. It was cooked to perfection! This was followed a few hours later by a guided creek tour, something we haven't done in ages! Finding the boat was a challenge but we got there in the end. The day and weather were perfect for photographs, so it's been really hard to choose two.

We went for a Salvation Army Christmas party in the evening. It was a meeting, followed by dinner, followed by a few games. The kids there were fantastic. They were really great sports and get on so well with each other. Christmas is so much better with young people around!
