A view from Jeanneb

Back to normal

except it wasn’t! Our normal Thursday walk usually starts an hour earlier but as a concession to the holidays, for those still working in school, we had a later start.
Great skies all the way up to the St Ives Estate where we meet. Here, as I started to climb Harden Spring, looking back over the village  was a great sky streaked with colours. The big building is the Congregational church and you can just see the village Christmas tree to the right of it.
It went on to be a nice morning for the walk but a cold wind blew up when we emerged from the woods and crossed the open field where we often see sunrises at this time of year.
Yesterday was a lovely morning too and Chris and I walked around the estate taking in Betty's Wood. It was a very mild and pleasant start to the New Year.
Today, after I had had breakfast and a shower, it seems to have turned dull again. Rain on the way we believe. Well it couldn’t last could it?
