Marjorie's ramblings

The festival is in safe hands

It's not been the easiest of days.

The plumber came and worked all day to sort out our central heating. He has put in a new expansion chamber and a new pressure gauge and various bits of pipework that were required. We were without heating for most of the day and it was wild and windy outside. The storm was particularly bad this afternoon.

I waited until things seemed under control and then went to my last committee meeting with the Walking Festival. There are two people missing from the group: Gwen and Ian. The rest are Anne E, Catriona, Jan and Ann in the back row and Lynn, John and Chris in the front.

There were a lot of things to hand over. They all looked very tired by the end, but raised a smile for the camera!

Most of the Christmas tree toys are finally packed up now. I will finish that task in the morning. By then I hope the wind will have died down.
