Shelf clouds

This was actually yesterday afternoon at 3pm but I had to share.

We had beautiful clear blue skies with sunshine and this front rolled through along with this shelf cloud. We were left with a solid covering of cloud in the sky and things cooler without the sun.

It was interesting to watch the approach of the shelf; this line changing the blue sky to solid cloud. Not a gradual change but an instant change.
