Brunch

BB is still off school, so my turn to “child mind”.  The weather forecast was accurate – gale force winds and rain – a day for staying indoors.  Instead we caught a bus into Edinburgh as he wanted to spend some Christmas money.  He looked, but didn’t buy.  We then went and had brunch in Dishoom, while he thought about things.  He wanted to go back .  However, I also wanted to pop to a couple of shops, which we did, then we went back to allow him to make his purchase.

Next we took a bus to the hospital, as he had another appointment about his arm.  As ever, we waited and waited and eventually it was his turn.  We saw a different consultant who was very through in checking his arm and checking and comparing x-rays.  The upshot was no further fractures, which we had already been told and that he has to give it time to settle down from the most recent injury.  That means no rugby for probably another six weeks.  BB is very disappointed, but he knows that he can’t play at the moment anyway, due to the pain,  Poor lad.

We jumped on a bus back to town then caught another bus home. All in all,  not the most efficient journey, but given the weather conditions, I am glad I wasn’t driving today.

Once home, he did a bit of cello practice, while I cooked.  Later I watched some TV.  Tomorrow I am back at work and BB is back to school.

Here is BB tucking into his brunch.
