Thank You!

Isn’t it lovely when a thank you letter pops through the door, sent from grandchildren schooled in the politeness of a hand written thank you letter.
Nina and Ewan always send a note of thanks, no doubt urged on by their parents, but nevertheless done in response to presents received. Not all my grandchildren do it even if all their mothers were made aware of the procedure when they were young.

It’s another inclement day, but I have just had a lovely lunch with a friend at the Rabbit Hole in Marchmont and am about to meet up with the friends from Saturday to go to the film of Little Women which we didn’t actually get to see then because it was booked out. However we are sure of a comfy seat at the Dominion Cinema today as we already have the tickets.

It’s a struggle to get up and go, with the thought of the cold wet weather to be endured on the journey, but the cinema should be warm. The only question is popcorn or no popcorn........... and the answer is..........no popcorn - not on top of that amazing lunch.
