McLaren's on the Corner

The newest bar/restaurant in our area is McLaren's on the Corner'. It opened at the very end of 2019 and Ann still hasn't been. She tried to book a table for dinner on 30th December but no-one answered the phone and she didn't get a reply to her email until 6th January??!! Not the best at customer service then?



Today we were walking past and Ann said, 'Trixie, I need to book somewhere for dinner for the girlies on 1st Feb. Let's see if I can make a booking here.'



It was a bit mizzly and drizzly but I got tied up outside because Ann didn't know whether it was a dog friendly establishment. And then she spotted a water bowl outside the front door and thought, Yay!, these people like doggies.



What a lovely place. It's a former bank and the décor is amazing. Lots of high ceilings and big comfy sofas. And yes; it's doggie friendly too and children friendly.



So Ann booked a table for dinner for 1st Feb and while she was doing that I sat patiently waiting for her outside, but at least two members of staff came to talk to me and said I was the cutest little dog ever.



Not sure if they've got their whole menu up and running yet, but it certainly seems to be a nice place to pop into for a drink or coffee. And in the summer we can sit outside and watch the world go by.



Looks like this could become our favourite neighbourhood bar??!!

EDIT - Ann always looks back on her Blips after she's posted her 'BLIP for the day' and just look who she met 6 years ago...……… EdiSteve  What a lovely Blipper he is.  Hoping that I'll get to meet him too. xx
