Gently down the stream

Digging for Ladies

Today, for some mad reason, I did some more gardening.  Not sure why, it isn't my habit to garden in January - probably because as soon as you get well into it the rain comes sheeting down.  So here are a few cuttings, rescued as I fled back inside, hellebore and sweet box in a lovely handmade piece of pottery given to me for Christmas by a friend.

The lichens and star moss are a chip off the ash branch which recently came down in the Close.

Meanwhile, Hazel is not very well.  We are rather worried about her.  Her unspecified allergies (if that's what they are) have flared up again very suddenly and she is feeling mighty unhappy, poor little thing.  She is being much cosseted.

Hope the rest of your weekend's good  xx
