Rhubarb, Rhubarb

Well the journey home yesterday wasn’t as bad as we had feared. Maps app took us on a tour of country lanes and byways to the east of the A1 closures and brought us back to A1 north of the blockage. Just over three hours wasn’t bad - all things considering.

It was raining when we got back and Finlay wouldn’t go out even though he been inside for over ten hours! I had to force him out!

Well today has mostly been packing and despatching the orders from the show… not too bad a return, but not the best we have had. Sadly, the baskets and bunnies that I cut and packed weren’t a big hit…maybe a bit early for Easter. We have the spring quilt show at Harrogate next month, so maybe we can sell a few there!

Desperate for a blip shot today - especially as I have bought a little small carbon fibre travel tripod and wanted to try it out. Nothing really shouted at me in the woods on our walk. So I resorted to taking a shot of the rhubarb growing in the garden. This is just natural growth - not forced - an amazing plant that always delivers early. We haven’t even manured it his year! Soon be time for chutney making….
