A night out in Blairgowrie

A few bits of admin and tidying up done before we collected young Mr PHL from the station and got organised to head to Blairgowrie for the night. We were due to meet M’s girlfriend Ali and her parents for dinner - an early celebration for Ali’s birthday as we will be away in the day. First time to meet her parents too.

Got as far as the supermarket to pick up some flowers and we had to head home as Mr PHL had forgotten his tablets - quick return and we were on the way.

Unfortunately we were then caught up in horrendous traffic and it took a wee while to find out there had been a bad accident on the city bypass which was now closed (can’t find any reports of casualties and I do hope no one was badly injured). So we tried a number of different routes before we managed to get across the bridge.

A 80 minute journey ended up taking almost 3 hours. Luckily the restaurant was able to push the reservation.
Long story short, we had a lovely evening - Ali’s parents are lovely and conversation flowed all evening. We had a couple of post dinner drinks in a bar in town before calling it a night around 10.45.

Spotted this unusual bike rack outside the bar and planned to upload last night but we spent so long chatting I forgot to upload before I headed to bed.

So another back blip on Saturday morning.
