GUINNESS TIME

Match Day ... Newcastle United v Norwich City.  I got my blip shot on the way to the ground.  This Guinness advert is on the side of The Tyneside Irish Centre (just beside China Town.)  Members of the centre take part in cultural and educational activities which promote Irish values and culture - particularly through music, language and sport.. I'm sure a lot of drinking goes on in there too,  I have tagged the Guinness advert for Silly Saturday. I like the silly faces on the top of the glasses of Guinness.....  and its silly to have letters missing from the wording and the clock is broken. Thanks to  admirer for hosting.

Newcastle United didn't buy any players during the January Transfer Window but they did get 3 players on loan.  Not one of them is a striker.  And we need a striker.  Joelinton is supposed to be one - and he cost 40 million pounds when he joined Newcastle in July 2019..  However he has only scored one league goal for the club and that was in an away match.  So the home crowd is desperate to see him score. Today was not the day.  The final score was 0 - 0. Such a disappointment.  The Newcastle players were actually jeered as they left the pitch.  The fans expect so much more from their team - especially against Norwich who are bottom of the division.

I have added a couple of Extras. One shows some of the Newcastle team just before kick off.  The player with the blonde hair on the right is Joelinton.  He seems to be looking up for divine help. " Please let me score today."  No such luck. The other photo is of  the Bobby Robson Memorial Garden which is near the football ground.  Bobby Robson was a much loved Newcastle and England Manager who died in 2009.
