With macro in mind

Experimenting with a non-standard lens this afternoon - a film camera 50mm OM lens that belonged to my dad + extension tube and the adapter that converts my Micro 4/3rds to fit the lens.  I had to get seriously close to take this tulip - in fact I had to move the vase of tulips up to the lens until I could see a reasonable focus in the flip out screen.  Removing the extension tube meant I had a bit more flexibility but that still gave me a 100mm focal distance + however much the adapter ring added.  I don’t think I’ll be sharing this on Wednesday - if anyone has a micro 4/3rds they could play - I doubt if anyone will be enthusiastic.  I wonder if the lens combo would add some bokeh in the right light?

I might try the lens baby tomorrow.  I think people could have some fun with that.  At the moment it’s attached to my old Panasonic 4/3 camera so people could use it with my camera rather than try it on their own.  If they photograph their name before they start I will be able to work out who took what.

An unusual Sunday for me with a trip into Barnsley at lunchtime for more cough stuff for Ann.  She didn’t go to church this morning because she was feeling so ropey.  I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that I’m not coming down with another cold.
