All quiet on the Sound of Kerrera

Yet another dull day; couldn't get to the gym this morning due to having something else on, so went after lunch. Having 20 minutes to spare before picking up Mrs M in town I drove round the Gallanach Road to try to find some light and ended up more or less where I photographed the sunset on the last day of the year, tho' this time the sun was hidden in a bank of cloud, leaving a bright line between cloud and land.

It wasn't a great picture and as luck would have it not long after we got home the sun came out! I wasn't going out again as I had Photo Club competition stuff to do. I tried the picture in monochrome and it looked worse than ever, so ended up cropping it down quite hard and increasing the contrast. It won't win any competitions, but it's a Blip!

The land on the right is the island of Kerrera, the island in the background is Eileach an Naoimh, one of the Garvellachs group and the little lighthouse in the foreground is on the island of Sgeirean Dubha.

Quote of the day:
