Curlew

It's been a lovely clear sunny winter's day and though I took a few photos at Tyninghame Woods I decided to take Zoe out this after noon and walk to the sea wall overlooking Belhaven Beach. Initially when we arrived I thought that there were only a few gulls scattered about on the beach but eventually I saw an isolated oystercatcher and in the distance a solitary curlew.. My 600mm zoom lens on my travel camera was just about long enough to capture the capture the scene. The late afternoon yellow lighting shining on the bird, was ideal and I was fortunate enough to get one or two shots where there was mirror image of the bird in the clear water.
