Flower Friday - Inevitable Snowdrops

It's sunny outside but oh so cold, and so my yearning for a bike ride is tempered with the prescient feel of cold feet and a tight grip on a hot cup of tea! I've spent the morning finishing the final draft of the Parish Council's Objection to the latest speculative development application.

There is now more than a third more village than when we moved in twenty years ago but oddly enough the roads haven't got wider nor the bus services more regular, and the peak time traffic congestion overlaps now from the morning to the lunchtime to the evening.

Anyhow, snug at home I couldn't help spending some time admiring the snowdrops sat beneath the retaining wall of the pond in the back garden. Coated in droplets from the earlier frost and still masked from the low Sun they stand as harbingers of spring; Brigit's bugles.
