Wanderings & Witterings

Bleak

Storm Ciara may have passed, but Monday was a cold day with a sharp wind and occasional snow showers. One minute the sun was shining, the next minute the skies had turned to dark grey and that was followed by what can best be described as blizzard conditions. These too only lasted a few minutes before the cycle was repeated.

Took today's photo while I was waiting to catch a bus into Glasgow. Was meeting friends for lunch, but didn't hang around too long afterwards as the conditions in the city centre were much the same as out Bonnybridge way. The snow was lying, however, in Cumbernauld and got a text to say that Tuesday's Ramblers walk there has been cancelled.

I'm due to lead a walk on Wednesday and keeping an eye out on the conditions and the forecast just in case that has to be cancelled too. At the moment the chances are it will go ahead (splish, splash, splosh) but I'll make that call tomorrow.
