Orchid III

On our window-sills, we have three different orchids, of which this is the newest. All are in flower at once. Which is nice. (Seem to have blipped flowers a lot lately, but they are the cheeriest thing around.)

Sunshine this morning and a heavenly break from the winds. Even did a tiny bit of gardening. Raining by mid-afternoon, but at least we had a brief respite. Now we brace ourselves (countrywide, I believe) for Storm Dennis.

Ciara ... Dennis ... Giving them names doesn't make them any pleasanter. But if they have to have names, why not make them suit the storms ... Storm Caligula ... Storm Dingbat ...?
