Wet Dog Smell

Having stayed overnight at our daughter’s it was an early start - 04:30 reveille - ready to leave at 05:30 for the drive to Doncaster station.  Dropped them off shortly after 06:00 and went back to their house for a shower and to round up the dogs and guinea pigs.

Back home just after 09:00 to unload said menagerie.

Daughter’s journey to London was not without problems…only two operational platforms at King’s Cross and one of them was blocked by a broken down train - so the train they were on was terminated at Stevenage (which wasn’t even a scheduled stop) and they transferred to a local service to St Pancras. They got their Eurostar train with 10 minutes to spare - instead of the two hours they had planned!

Poured with rain most of the morning - there was a brief pause so I dragged the dogs out for a walk (all three together, not something I normally do). Anyway it rained again and they all got soaked…. this is them drying off, Finlay, Fudge and Buzz (left to right)! The smell is rather strong…

I did manage to stop briefly to photograph some lichen on a fence (extra) - it has caught plenty of moisture.

Both shots taken with the LX5 - this is why I love this little camera
