Muck

An end to the warm weather forecast with rain & storm front due in the afternoon. I think the rather tame tail of Storm Dennis that has again caused misery in the UK, particularly Wales & neighbouring English towns.

Have had a large, agricultural, 7 or 8 metre long, 2 axle trailer loaded with sawn wood next to the house since December. It had been covered with tarpaulins but Storm Ciara managed to rip them off.

So with more rain and wind coming decided to drive the trailer with the tractor around to a barn with no firm ground and a very narrow area to turn - I need to reverse into the barn.

The fields though were soaked & the good old very heavy 1965 tractor with no servo, no 4WD and it didn't take long before we were stuck. Ended up having to unload the trailer by hand and it wasn't long before the rain came. Luckily it was mainly very light drizzle.

Finally got it all done but left a real mess at the entrance to our horse field. Perhaps if we have a very long dry period I can use our roller to make it look better before the grass & grazing season starts.
