Dilemma Dienstag

A Bliper's nightmare - two events fall on the same day: Tractor Tuesday and publication of the Annual English Narzissen Index.

Had a strange itchy rash break out a week or so ago and assumed it was probably due to a different washing powder, cats fleas, vitamin deficiency ..... but last few days been keeping me up at night and no sign it's getting better with vitamin pills. So this morning decided to go to GP
and take the opportunity to have a Vitamin B6 jab which I ought to do once a month but, especially in winter flu time, I do everything to avoid going to GP's waiting room even if the wait is never long.

Today entered the surgery at 10:21 & left at 10:47 - without an appointment - and having had the full inspection, jab, discussion of my last blood test result done by my specialist in January and a couple of prescriptions for the rash.

Took the opportunity of being in Erkheim to go to the local "Penny Supermarket" as they are the only ones who sell English Daffs every year and which I have featured now most years since Brexit started. Good news for this year - the price hasn't yet hit the 2019 record low of €0.70 for a bunch of 10!

(The Germans don't have an extra word for daffodils.)

Home for a cup of coffee, phone (App not working) through my prescriptions to the chemists in Ottobeuren I like to use (there is one in Erkheim) & as they say they have everything in stock took off to get there before they closed at 12:15.

Returning to the car, the tractor in the extra photo drove up & the farmer went shopping so took the opportunity to get probably the first Tractor Tuesday Blip this year. A nice Mercedes Benz MB-Trac 800. Have no idea how old it is, the first ones appeared in 1975 and were made until 1992.

By evening the itch was for the most part gone & at last a good night's sleep. Been a lovely day but another cold stormy day forecast tomorrow. It's more like April than February.
