Silly Saturday ....

.... swimming shepherd!

Wow! Today was an absolute gorgeous February day! The temps were in the low 50's F and the sun was shining brightly.

While looking out the kitchen window this morning Richard saw the young cat that I last saw on January 22 .... I thought maybe it had moved to a different location but obviously not.  He went out to shoo it away and unfortunately it ran under our shed in the back.  That changed our plans for the day as R wanted to get the cat out from under the shed and then block it so he/she couldn't get back under.

We still wanted to get out for a walk to enjoy the beautiful day but we had to make a few stops first to get some stuff to block up the hole.

We eventually ended up at Housenick Park and got in a nice long walk.  We saw some very silly things while at the park.  One of which was this silly German Shepherd enjoying a quick drink in the very cold creek.  I couldn't resist adding a silly speech bubble asking the beautiful Piper to join him for a swim!

Something else we saw was raccoon!  Seeing a raccoon out in the middle of the day is a little disconcerting as they are nocturnal animals. We kept our distance just in case it was rabid.

When we returned home Richard fixed the hole under the shed ... after making sure no cats or kittens were underneath it first!  Then he grilled up some delicious steaks for our supper .... yummm! And I made the sides.
