Siskin (Spinus spinus)

A pair of unusual visitors at the feeders today.   The male Siskin at the back and the female at the front.   These little birds were common visitors a year or so ago, sometimes 5 or 6 on the feeders together.  Since then I think we have seen a single bird once or twice, so it was pleasing to see a pair at the start of the breeding season.

After a very gentle start to the day we went out to the Lodge after lunch and finished the carpet cleaning.
