Life through the lens...

Snowy Ingleborough.

Home now after a very enjoyable few days in Silverdale. We will certainly be back.

The plan was to visit the Eric Morecambe hide to see the avocets, at Leighton Moss, but the carpark was closed.
So we came back the scenic route via High Bentham, and Clapham.
We stopped to take some photos of Ingleborough as it looked wonderful with it’s snow covered top.
However although we were in sunshine, it was in cloud. I did wait hoping that the clouds would move, but they didn’t, and the strong wind was freezing cold.
Extra shows the view over towards Pen-y-Ghent which also had snow on top.

We then stopped at The Courtyard Dairy, near Settle, for coffee, and also bought some cheese. One of the best cheese shops in the UK. ( see extra) The cheese we bought was Baron Bigood. A Brie type cheese from Bungay, Norfolk. Absolutely delicious.
Also purchased was some wine from Buon Vino Natural Wine shop. Three bottles were those we tasted on Monday night, ( which was one of the best tastings ever ) The fourth was from one of our favourite vineyards in Rasteau, France.
It made a nice stop on the way home.
