Moomin your way through

The recovery moomin had been displaced from his normal seat on the little wooden chair for book group. I liked the way he was watching over us all.

There was an elegaic quality to our meeting yesterday, because we don't know when we will be able to meet next - given the advice on social distancing. This is going to be especially hard for those who live on their own, for those who are older, and for those who are vulnerable. There are no easy answers.

I'm persisting in going to the gym, but numbers seem to be dwindling now as people make their decision to leave even before the inevitable ban comes (and it will). Spinning today, and then a walk along Great Junction Street looking for a couple of bits of pieces that are not available in the supermarket. The panic buying and hoarding by those with disposable incomes in a working class community like Leith disgusts me. I feel like we have bought a fair bit over the last couple of weeks, but that is because when we came back from our extended travels (basically since December) we were store-cupboard and fridge zero.
