Movement order - Day 1

So the news is confusing.  Interstate travel has been stopped which caused long queues at police stations as people tried to get permits but then it seems you don't need them. Holidays (it's the state school break) are cancelled but you can go to a hotel if you booked before 18 March.  Students have to go home and e-learning may have been stopped.

I swam this morning and later headed out of the compound for the first time since Saturday.  Jaya still had food so I got essentials - bacon, ham, hand sanitiser, baguette (you only want one?), ice cream and (the last of the) tonic water.  A crashing accident after I got home meant that 4 bottles were reduced to 3 and I had to wash the kitchen floor.

The restaurants and food outlets have to close, unless they are providing takeaways.  The Verve restaurants which are normally very busy were deserted apart from sign saying 'open for take aways'.

The Lebuhraya is noticeably quiet. It is still hot and Amelia is still grumpy and very clingy.  The parents are trying to work from home.  I am still washing the dishes. Interesting times!
