Movement Order - Day 2

Today started early as I dealt with emails and College business in the middle of the night, the joy of an 8 hour time difference. There is a lot of supportive stuff coming through which is good.

G went for a swim this morning. Good thing as the pools were finally shut mid morning on the orders of DBKL (the Cooncil). Meanwhile I have done my laundry, given the kitchen a really good clean and tidy, finding the missing blendjet seal. Then the fridge was cleaned and tidied (and things were thrown out). Lastly the tinned goods cupboard was sorted. We have a lot of soup and the gecko has gone!

I did have 20 minutes or so downstairs with the girls until Amelia got really grumpy. It feels odd as no-one is around. Amelia seems better and her temperature has been normal since Tuesday. She has the combination of mouth ulcers and a cold, nothing else, but she is so grumpy and out of sorts. Olivia has had some 'beauty' treatments, hair trim and nails cut. I will need a haircut soon. It may have to be self administered.

The initial day of the Movement Order didn't really work as the Government hadn't made clear that it did mean no unnecessary movement. That was reiterated last night and some states have loud hailer vans going around. Not here. Students have now been told to stay put. G is working from home, conducting interviews and supporting staff. I have to keep the girls occupied. WH is delivering online lectures for the first time, from her office. She shouldn't really be there ,(even although it's just her) as all non essential offices should be closed.

The weather has been cooler and cloudier today, still low 30's but it feels better than yesterday.

I'm looking forward to another night of 'work'. It is a topsy turvy kind of world.
