Life through the lens...

By ValC

Mother’s Day.

No hugs and kisses, but my son’s family, including the grandchildren, dropped off this card, and box of flowers, which also contained a lovely bottle of Rhubarb &Ginger Gin Liqueur. ( good job we happen to have a full bottle of tonic!)
Also brought tea bags and milk.

Our granddaughter, who is now back from Uni has applied for a job as a shelf stacker at our local Tesco. Bless her, trying to do her bit. ( the money will come in handy too)
Our other granddaughter, bless her too, is working, unpaid, at Halifax hospital’s children’s ward as part of her university training to become a paediatric nurse.

Not sure if the supermarkets have thought through the idea of opening a special hour for 70s +. They may be overwhelmed, with no one keeping 2 meters apart.

Ridiculously the “ open spaces “ are now packed with people. Not many staying 2 meters apart. So parks are closing and also National Trust sites.
Why don’t people listen to what they are told.
They either don’t understand, or are just selfish.

Meanwhile we are staying in.
We are very lucky that the sun is shining, and the birds are singing.

To make you smile:
Notice on van “ No toilet rolls are kept in this vehicle overnight.”

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY Blippers.
