Pileated woodpecker at the feeder

Monday
It was another grey chilly start, with the sun only putting in an appearance late afternoon, once we had returned from our bike ride! Although we are under a stay at home order in Ohio, we are allowed out to get daily exercise as well as the grocery store, pharmacy etc. We passed people periodically, but the trail is quite wide so we felt quite safe. By the time we had made an afternoon cup of tea, the sun was shining through the breakfast room windows, so we took our drinks and sat in the two comfy chairs we have in the corners where we can watch the birds at the feeders, and I took my knitting in there too and sat and did my knitting for a while. The red bellied, Downy and Hairy woodpeckers are more common visitors to our back yard buffet, but the larger Pileated woodpecker comes occasionally, and I have been wanting to get a photo of him for a while, so today he obliged!
