The Edge of the Wold

The day started in a blaze of colour that turned to grey before ending in a blanket of white.

After his morning walk over the Knott, Gus went with Wifie to the vets for a thorough check and for the first of his injections. He was very good. The poor lad will need some work on his teeth, but he was spared that today.

I've been listening to the Civil Wars recently. I missed my chance to see them when they came to Lancaster early in 2012. And now the partnership is going through a hiatus, hopefully not a civil war, but there has been talk of irreconcilable differences of ambition. They wrote a song for all those blippers celebrating blip days. I do hope they overcome those differences, as they have a particular magic of harmony together.

The snow is still falling as I type this, it's caught up with us at last. Let's hope there's some time to enjoy it tomorrow morning before the thaw comes through.

Wifie says she can see a face in the clouds.
