Mellow yellow

Lots of plants starting to get buds in the garden.  Because a fence had been removed along with several shrubs, I hadn’t noticed the Forsythia as it is out of my line of sight when I am in the kitchen.  Nice bright yellow against today’s lovely blue sky.  Quite warm too.  The calm before the storm perhaps?  In previous years we have often had a week of good weather and then a fair covering of snow!  Extra shows yesterday’s “mystery” object in full.  It is an old penknife - mother of pearl handle and silver blade - needs a good clean as it has been hidden away in an old jewellery box of my mother’s.
