A new walk

We ventured over to the south side today, taking advantage of the glorious sunshine. We took the route along the old railway line to Brinkburn Station, then headed up the public bridleway. It was a pull up but we had a new view over to our house, and though it was slightly wet near the top, the rest was dry - normally a lot of it would be boggy. This blip is where we got nearer to the road which leads south out of the village. We had to walk up the hill into the village on the road, then back home over the stepping stones and up the hill. Over 7 miles and almost 17,000 steps.

The hills here are where the fire was. It took hold again yesterday and was burning all night. Hopefully the firefighters have it under control. It got within 10 metres of the forest.

Ella and Nathaniel have been playing at having a dog beauty parlour. This involved a hose to wash down the toy dogs. And each other.

Shetland wool has been ordered from Fine Fettle Fabrics of Felton. To knit a kep costs more that buying half a dozen. But it’ll be fun.

I finished the last of my Clarins moisturiser today. What now I wonder?
