Threelips

The morning coffee was accompanied today with the delicious smell/taste of petrichor - that essence of fresh falling rain. You would think, after the miserably wet winter and early spring, that more rain would be unwelcome but no. At least, not immediately...

The grass in the back garden is decorated by the efforts of our table tennis. Even with trying to move the table around we've left a mark which is now like a ring of crushed yellow in the middle of the lawn. The 1000 litre water tank that fills from the gutter is almost empty and we're ready for some.

And, in the brief interlude between quite heavy showers, these tulips are showing off. It's getting towards the end of the tulip season, although the yellow ones seem only now to be flowering. The Pieris in the background is gorgeous and the clematis is in full flower.

Tomorrow I shall be yearning for sunshine again...
