Young red leaves of Sycamore

Fresh vegetation reflects far more infra red light than green, but we can see green. I'm wondering if the colours wander from the infra red into the red part of the spectrum. At least, perhaps that's why these freshly emerging leaves on a sycamore look red.

They looked much redder in real life. Almost surreal against a bright blue sky.

Basil and I did a long walk today, touching the school playing field and then following the footpath alongside the M1. See extra.

Gareth Malone has not appeared today on YouTube. He was supposed to be doing a pre-recording. Perhaps it just didn't happen. Must check his twitter account. No, nothing there.

Am judging a camera club contest via Zoom tonight. I have looked at all the entries, made notes, and chosen winners.
