Jays!

We have seen Jays in Goit Stock and St Ives woods but this pair were right at the side of the road in the woods above Beckfoot. I heard them in the undergrowth before I saw them, just shows how little traffic there is.
An other lovely day and we tried the middle lower path through Cottingley woods. Quite straight forward till you get to a damp grassy lane towards the end, virtually a stream bed even in these dry conditions but there are higher paths to get you around it.
Across the golf course to Beckfoot, enjoyed watching a dog in the Ford before climbing up through Mouse Woods. The bluebells are looking better than ever now and after stopping on the road back to the village to watch the Jays the next stretch of wood had the best sight of bluebells I’ve seen this year. Had to blip them too, much better than the ones I blipped last Friday.

Loving seeing all these examples of nature around out home.
Quick call in the PO in the village to buy a birthday card an when we came out we had been caught up by R and corinthian column on their way back from the River Walk. We had a short chat, sitting on separate benches of course!
‘60’s night tonight with ATN singing. Last night we had a church quiz we didn't win, don’t know quite who did  (scores with a .3 being mentioned!) but think we may have come joint third with Auntie P and B!
It was so busy yesterday we didn’t have time for tea!
Stay safe everyone and show your appreciation for the Key workers tonight at 8.00pm.

Happy St George’s Day!
