If you can't beat them...

Erythronium dens-canis "Pagoda"

After a couple of days of Pheasants I thought I had better have a change.  So wander round the garden pointing the camera at various flowers.

The only common name I have heard for Erythronium is Dogs-tooth Violet which doesn't really fit with the yellow "Pagoda".  Erythronium species are spread across Eurasia and North America.  As the scientific name suggests the original species to be given the name was red.  The dens-canis is where the common name dogs-tooth comes from.
