Baking day

Today was definitely a baking day.  It's poured all day.  I've been waiting for rain to sow grass seed, so now that's done, and I took Hazel out briefly, but apart from that it was mooching round the kitchen.

This was supposed to be chocolate and banana cake, but, needless to say, when K went out for ingredients half were missing!  If people have stopped hoarding then the supply chains haven't caught up.  Flour is the worst, but I did find an out-of-date pack of wholemeal spelt at the back of the cupboard so we used that.

Oh the news about deaths in care homes - it's absolutely shaming how the old have been ignored.  So upsetting.
