Day Fortyone; Second day without any new cases

The unit remains nearly full with at least new admission for every discharge in the last few days. Frustrating that I have to do things by remote.

A pleasant half hour jog after getting home. My blip is of the undergrowth beside the Arch Hill Reserve Walkway. Feels a little like being in Middle Earth. No new cases of Covid-19 infection today; second day in a row. This could still be the effect of the Level 4 lockdown, rather than indicating that Level 3 is safe. So both the Prime Minister, and the Director General of Health have warned it is too soon to relax.

It won't make much difference to us in the hospitals, especially mental health, as we take whoever is referred and they're almost always very unwell. And we will still have to screen every admission.
