Cow Parsley

No BlueTits or Sparrow Hawks but a couple of Dippers and a lesser spotted Ed Psych!
 

Yesterday was warmer than I expected, this morning was distinctly cool as we set off for a short walk along the top of Goit stock woods, on the Wilsden side, and took a steep path down to the Park home site that we haven’t walked before. 
It came out where we expected which was good as we wanted check out the Blue Tit nesting tree. No sign of activity but we stayed a while and moved over to let a dog walker pass safely.
He’s stopped and wanted to know what we were looking at. He was very chatty and finally introduced himself and asked our names. It was then I realised why he looked familiar. He was formerly one of my Educational Psychologists when I was working in Secondary School. We agreed we both ’got out’ at right time!

Spent a while watching two Dippers flying up and down the Beck in the usual spot but too quick to get a shot. It’s amazing watching them going under the water. 

The main feature of today’s walk along the Goit was the flowering of the Cow Parsley on the Beck side. The bluebells are still there but the wood anemones seem to be over. I love these delicate lacy flowers.

A family, as we were leaving, were asking for directions. They keep coming!
Nearly home we met Wilsden Walker outside another walker’s home and we had a nice distance chat. Good to see her other than on blip and What’s app.

Church quiz tonight and maybe an ATN sing. Haven’t done it for a few sessions, sounds to be getting a bit crazy! We have to plan our meals around these things!
