Day two in the office for me. There was less traffic than yesterday, presumably because it is a bank holiday today.  I even got a prime parking space outside the office.

Unfortunately today wasn’t as busy as yesterday, so it dragged a bit.  However we did pop out to see the typhoon jets flying over Edinburgh, though I wasn’t quick enough to get a blip.  At 11am, we joined the First Minister outside the office for the two minute silence to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day.  The canteen was giving away free cupcakes.  We’re not sure why, but we all enjoyed them.  After work, I dashed along to M&S in search of caster sugar – and I was successful.  I haven’t been able to get any for a  few weeks, which means my baking has been rationed to  make best use of what I had.

I then drove home in the sunshine and headed out for my daily exercise.  It was really lovely and very warm.  We had our delivered meal for tea – which went down very well.  TT particularly liked his lamb tagine.  Later he had a virtual whisky session and I frittered my evening away.

It’s only in relatively recent times that St Andrew’s Square has been opened up for everyone to enjoy.  However like everywhere else at the moment, it is currently closed.
