Day 50 High Key

The sun put in an appearance today, at least from time to time, but what the BBC Weather Forecast, optimistically called a moderate breeze felt more like a gale at times and frankly getting an outdoors shot didn't really seem on the cards for today's MM challenge (set by Carolina).  For my high key shot I did try something with jugs and an egg cup which I liked but as the challenge said 'preferably outside', I brought the outside in with a couple of flower heads: one option was the remains of a pasque flower, but I've used that before for an MM challenge recently, so the Mountain Cornflower won out.  cutting a flower and laying it on its side shows the interesting lattice pattern on its receptacle (?).  I'm afraid I allowed Silver Efex Pro to give me the high key effect, rather than camera settings.
In other news,  The contents of the 50 page documents were revealed today and Boris Johnson took questions, of which there were a great many.  Keir Starmer asked for the clarity which many feel is lacking, to put it mildly.  Quite how employers will be ready to put in place the H&S measures (which by law they are responsible for, to keep their workers safe) in a couple of days goodness only knows.  Now if you can't work from home, you should go to work, where you will meet any number of people in an indoor setting (mostly) but socially you can only meet one person at a time and that should be outdoors....  The plan to get back into school, 3 year groups, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 has rightly met with a great deal of opposition from the teaching unions.  The suggested measures to keep everyone as safe as possible in the school setting seem virtually unworkable.  It will be interesting to see what actually happens on 1 June.  In the meantime, if you now  have to go to work but have no childcare, goodness only knows what you are meant to do.
