HOW LONG?!?

Conventional gardening wisdom frequently says things like - "don't plant out until all danger of frost is past.  In my younger days I often thought "MAY?!?; that late."   I've learnt a wee bit since then; I've even blipped frost damage well into the teens of May but I think this is my latest spotting, not more than a couple of days old.
I very nearly did an exhibit of a baby corpse guessing a Starling from its size but refrained out of deference to some of the weaker stomachs - BUT - I did think of the "Dead skunk in the middle of the Road."

I chose, instead, the damage to the Camellia which flowered this year for the first time since Alice and I almost missed.
