Singing

Another day of gale force winds.  TT and I had planned a long walk, as we have done the past few Saturdays, but we were rather inhibited by the weather.  We did eventually decide to get out after lunch, but with a much revised plan.  We retraced the steps that BB and I took on Monday, but with a different start.  That meant that we had the wind behind us for the first half of the walk – though it was still hard going, especially on top of the hill where we were just battered by the wind. It was also colder than yesterday, and my hands were freezing for the whole walk.  I should have worn gloves.  The first bit of the return walk was hard work, but we then dropped down to the river and were sheltered a bit.  The shelter eventually ran out and once more we were walking straight into the wind all the way home.  We were both worn out when we got home.  Especially TT as he stopped in at the supermarket on the way home and walked up the road with two heavy bags.

Once he was recovered he went on to cook a fabulous curry from his spice box kits.  It was delicious.  We then watched a couple of episodes of The Missing and I only just managed to stay awake.

Despite the wind, this chap was singing his heart out by the river.
