Bank Holiday BBQ

As expected it was a hot day, so we decided to drive to our nearby woods for a walk instead of walking there from home. A big mistake as the car parks were so full, with cars parking on the edge of the road in precarious positions. We eventually found a parking and set off towards the large pond, as I had an idea that being so hot Xena may finally jump in the water and swim. It was like Brighton Beach on a sunny bank holiday (oh wait, wasn't that what today was?) at the pond, with so many people and so many dogs, and no one keeping social distances. We just walked on and decided today was not the day for Xena to learn to swim - besides, as we haven't had rain for so long the pond water was a bit smelly and did not look clean or appealing.

When we got home Gavin prepared his chicken kebabs for a BBQ - I always talk about them so thought I would show what they look like - this is when they were raw, about to go on the BBQ. We had a good lunch and now Luke has gone off for a round of golf with a friend, Thomas is studying, and Gavin has gone to the driving range which had to be pre-booked in these Covid-19 times as they only allow a few people in at a time.

Tonight Gavin and I have a zoom chat with friends where we hopefully will hear all about their last holiday which was to India.
