BBQ lunch

Gavin and I had a lovely walk with Xena, we went through Prince's Covert woods and as it is an area of 864 acres there are plenty of undiscovered paths to take and today we found another new one. Good to see wild foxgloves and honeysuckle in the woods.

Back home and we went with the boys for a coffee at the local cafe, we sat in their courtyard and enjoyed our drinks while sitting in the shade. When we got home Gavin made a quick BBQ lunch of chicken burgers, when I took this photo. While the idea is good it was badly executed - a rushed 2 minute photo as everyone was complaining they wanted to eat and not have me faffing around with the food for a photo, so this is the result of a very quick photo that really needs to be done again, but of course they were all eaten so I could not repeat the shot!

We are pleased about our booking to Devon in July but have decided not to also go to Norfolk as that booking was for the week directly after our trip to Devon and we feel we would rather come home after being away for over a week. We are still hoping to go to Switzerland if the 14 day quarantine is lifted and we can travel through France.

I cannot understand why the government did not impose a 14 day quarantine at the start of lockdown, but chose to do it now instead. To be honest after initially thinking they had handled the Coronavirus crisis very well, I feel it has all gone pear shaped and I don't have much confidence in the way things are being done. We all have our hopes pinned on the vaccine but I heard from a reliable scientific source that it will probably be like the annual flu vaccine where it only covers certain strains so no one will have complete protection from the virus, and those at risk need to continue to socially distance themselves going forward.

Adam is making enchiladas for supper again, yippee!
