Red Hot ..

Today is Pentecost Sunday. We had a lovely service on Zoom for all four churches in our benefice. 63 tuned in but many of these were couples or families so more than 100 people we think. We had hymns and a sermon from the Bishop. Last time we had a full service in church was in Lent so it was nice to feel we were together again if only virtually. There are lots of daily services on offer to tune into and we get a written service twice a week but this was a little special, not least the 10 minute break out groups at the end where we got to chat with five other church families.

Spent the rest of the day in the garden, a bit of tidying and a bit of chilling, sitting and doing my sewing. So a garden blip then.

Considering the day, both liturgically and the lovely sunny weather,  I felt the Red Hot Poker, now fully in flower, was appropriate.
