Silly Saturday ....

... run away ferret!

This morning I was in the sunroom when R came and told me that there was something strange in our neighbors garage.  I grabbed my camera and went over there.  And in her garage was this silly ferret!  We figured it must belong to someone as it was friendly enough.  R went and got our humane animal trap and we got the ferret to go into it.  Our neighbor told us that her daughter has a friend with ferrets as pets so a call was made to the daughter who in turn called her friend.  

We left shortly after that to a walk at Graver Arboretum and when we returned the ferret was gone.  R learned from our neighbor that the friend came and got this ferret and she was going to make every attempt to find the rightful owner.  What a silly experience it all was!

Speaking of Graver Arboretum ....  I have added an extra of our time there this afternoon.  The rhododendron are in fully bloom ... some even past their prime. We also saw for the first time ever a Northern water snake! How exciting! Also exciting was seeing a car coming towards us on the walking trail!  No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail so we aren't sure why this older couple were driving here! Neither one would make eye contact with us as they drove past.
