Moon lovers

Howdy blipmates.  Back from what I thought was going to be a mini break which turned into something a bit lengthier than I had thought.  We are all well.  Hamish was booked in for an op for a dodgy knee but pre op x-rays showed he has bad arthritis in the elbows and hips and so he is being managed medically  now.   It is about two weeks since he started the injections and full time anti-inflammatories and I think he was showing some signs of improvement tonight.  Miss Destructor is fine.  She has grown a lot in the month and I will post photos of the two of them soon enough.

Tonight was for the moon lovers.   It was magic watching it rise  - this great pale gold ball.  The surfers were having a moon light surf and you can see some people here at Newie baths who were doing some moonlight laps.

I hope you are all well.  It is going to take me some time to catch up on you all.  I have been dropping in from time to time for little peeks.

I start back one day a fortnight in Sydney in about two weeks.  There are a whole lot of procedures to follow - book a desk - be escorted to your floor in the lift, have your temperature taken and if clear you get a wrist band, bring your own keyboard and mouse, headset, laptop etc, work strict hours - you need to book them too, no staying back trying to finish something.  It will be good to start to see my colleagues in the flesh rather than in our microsoft team meetings but instead of the full team, there will only be two of us pm the days we work keeping the number of people back at work to a minimum.   I hear the ferries are almost empty.  Phew, that would be a good thing.  I have a supply of masks for that.   What a strange old world we are living in.  I have felt so constrained at home, not able to get out much and being so busy I have been working around 10 hour days which is not much chop.  Still, I shouldn't complain.  I have a job and don't have the 'rona.  The stores are now fully stocked and that sense of helplessness against the unknown and slight anxiety is a thing of the past.  I have really enjoyed my zoom meetings with friends and face to face with other good friends in small doses.

Off to Sydney in the morning so I might miss tomorrows but I am generally aiming to get back to hopefully normal.  There are quite a few back blips to come up too.

J xx
