Home Territory

We decided not to go for a walk today as we are waiting in for a phone call about a care home for the FIL. I've spent ages on the phone over the last couple of weeks to carers, Age UK, neighbours, social services and mental health services. We've now decided he really needs to be in a care home, and are determined to find a home for him near where he lives. We were put in touch with an organisation which will research and recommend homes for us to consider. Amazingly they have come up with a suitable home just around the corner from his house, the care home even does trips to the local shops that he currently knows well. We have to wait until next week to hear if they have any vacancies and what the admittance procedure would be in the current situation.

I'm sure he will refuse to go anyway, but one step at a time. At least if we can get him to try it it will be on his own territory.

The young blackbird in our tree is also working hard to establish his territory I think.

I forgot to say yesterday that tourism is back in Northleach. We were asked for directions to the community centre which was used in the filming of This Country!
