Peony!

I have NEVER bought peonies before or even paid them much attention. Tulips and daffodils have always been my favourite flowers to buy. But I saw some recently and was quite struck with them.

I was at Waitrose a few days ago, a rare event now that I’ve switched to online shopping for my groceries. I saw a bunch of 5, on sale - even better! They’re very slowly opening, so I think they’ll last awhile. Oh so beautiful! I love the tiny yellow centre and the tinge of darker pink along the edges.

They sit on my dining room table. I sat there for 5 hours today on two different Zoom calls (!!) so they were very beautiful to look at, as a distraction from the screen. See Extra photo for more of the bunch!
